As the largest Disney theme park in the world, Disney's Animal Kingdom covers over 500 acres and is divided into several themed areas, each offering its own enchanting atmosphere:

Dining at Animal Kingdom

  1. Satu'li Canteen (Pandora - The World of Avatar): This quick-service restaurant in Pandora offers a menu inspired by the Na'vi people and their cuisine. Enjoy customizable bowls with your choice of protein, base, and sauce, featuring flavors like grilled beef, chicken, or tofu. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.

  2. Yak & Yeti Restaurant (Asia): Transport yourself to the foothills of the Himalayas at this table-service restaurant. The menu features Asian-inspired dishes, including stir-fries, curry dishes, and a variety of seafood options. The restaurant also offers a quick-service counter for grab-and-go items.

  3. Flame Tree Barbecue (Discovery Island): Indulge in delicious barbecue favorites, such as smoked ribs, chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, and flavorful sides. Enjoy your meal in the outdoor seating area, which provides scenic views of the Discovery River and Expedition Everest.

  4. Harambe Market (Africa): Experience the vibrant atmosphere of an African street market at Harambe Market. This quick-service location offers a variety of African-inspired dishes, including grilled meats, vegetarian options, and tasty street-style snacks.

  5. Tusker House Restaurant (Africa): Join Donald Duck and friends for a character dining experience at Tusker House. This buffet-style restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring a blend of African flavors and classic American fare.

  6. Pizzafari (Discovery Island): If you're craving pizza, head to Pizzafari for a quick-service meal. The menu includes various pizza options, as well as salads and sandwiches. The colorful and whimsical interior makes for a fun dining atmosphere.

  7. Restaurantosaurus (DinoLand U.S.A): This restaurant offers classic American fare in a playful dinosaur-themed setting. Enjoy burgers, chicken nuggets, salads, and more. Vegan and vegetarian options are available as well.

It's important to note that dining reservations may be required for table-service restaurants, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and make reservations in advance to secure your preferred dining experiences.

Best Days to Visit

Most times, weekdays are the best days to visit Animal Kingdom. Especially Monday-Thursday. Weekends tend to be busiest, however, if you are going to be at Disney on a weekend then AK is the one you will want to go to.

Operating hours vary by season and from park to park. Hours are subject to change and may do so at any time without notice. They can also be shortened due to special ticketed events. Its always best to check before making plans.
