Cruise tip: Choose your port wisely 👀

One things that clients always ask, is how easy it is to get from the airport to the ship?! Well let me tell you about this one!

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) is one of the MOST convenient cruise ports when it comes to Disney Cruises.

From the airport, you’re only about 10–15 minutes from the cruise terminals… sometimes even less depending on traffic.

That means:
✔️ Short, inexpensive transfers
✔️ Less stress on embarkation day
✔️ Easier travel with luggage
✔️ More flexibility with flight times

This is exactly why I recommend Fort Lauderdale so often to my clients!! You also have the gorgeous Disney Destiny as well as the Disney Dream to choose from, and a bunch of amazing itineraries!

If you’re planning a cruise, this is a detail you don’t want to overlook.

Just got back from Walt Disney World and WOW, what a trip! ✨

This time we traveled with a BIG group… 30 people across 8 families 😅 And if you’ve ever wondered “Can you actually travel with that many people?” the answer is YES, you absolutely can.

But here’s the real talk: it won’t be perfect… and that’s okay.

Some moments we all stuck together, and those were so special. Other times, we split into smaller groups depending on rides, schedules, and energy levels, and honestly, that’s what made it work. Trying to do everything as one giant group? Not realistic. Letting go of that expectation? Game changer.

Traveling with a large group is all about flexibility, communication, and focusing on what really matters. Making memories together. And trust me, we had an absolute blast 💛

The boys were playing football when all of the sudden, the ball went over the fence into the rocks right by the lake (where it’s Florida and alligators live).
So we went and got a cast member and they said
“someone will be over to help shortly”. We were all cracking up because we pictured someone with a pole, not a WHOLE PATROL BOAT! E
So lesson learned. Disney has a whole lake patrol to retrieve missing items!

There is so much to do at Disney outside of the parks!?

This morning, my son and I woke up early and walked over to Port Orleans Riverside for some cane pole fishing at the Fishin’ Hole, located just past the pool.

Fishing is $6 for every 30 minutes, and Disney provides everything you need, including cane poles and bait (worms or hot dogs). All fishing is catch and release, making it a great, low pressure activity for kids and families.

It’s such a beautiful, peaceful spot and a really fun way to experience Disney magic beyond the parks!
