Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
One of the BIGGEST reasons that people visit Walt Disney World during the fall is for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party! This experience begins in August and runs select nights through the end of October! MNSSHP takes place at the Magic Kingdom and is a special ticketed event that is not included with your regular park admission. Parties run from 7pm to Midnight, but you are able to enter the park beginning at 4pm. Tickets will go on sale SOON and will be available to guests that have a resort reservation first. Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is full of FUN! With your ticket, you will have access to special character meet n greets, trick or treating throughout the park, special spooky ride overlays, Mickey's Boo to You Halloween Parade, stage shows, a Halloween spectacular fireworks show and SO much more!
Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of the only times that adults can dress up in costume at Disney World! With that said, there are some specific guidelines that must be followed! You can find those here. If dressing in costume is not your thing, thats fine too! I have personally dressed up with my family in Aladdin costumes, and gone in general fall/halloween clothing. Keep in mind that fall at Disney can be HOT so plan accordingly!
Fall Crowds at Walt Disney World
Crowd levels in the late summer/early fall can be lower than other times of the year. Most of August and September will have low crowds due to the heat and kids being back in school. Most of October (with the exception of mid Oct when some schools have a fall break) will be moderate crowds which are busy but manageable! Either way, when you have a travel planner on your side that is experienced with the theme parks, you will go in with a game plan and will know how to manage the parks whether they are busy or not! Epcot Food & Wine Festival
Another fun event at Disney in the fall is Epcots Food & Wine festival! This festival consists of special food booths around World Showcase in Epcot that have featured small food and drink samples for purchase that are associated with the "Country" that it is located in! There is also a special concert series located in the American Gardens Theatre called "Eat to the Beat". This concert features popular bands across all different genres. These concerts typically take place at 5:30pm, 6:45pm and 8pm.
